Tutor Verification

Before a tutor can display a verification badge, our team reviews the documents they submit:

• A recognised teaching certificate or professional qualification
• A national ID or passport, matched against the certificate

Report & Block

Every conversation on Studorship — group chats and private messages — has a report option and a block option, reachable directly from that conversation's menu.

• Reporting sends the issue to our team for review — the other person is not notified.
• Blocking is immediate and mutual: you stop seeing their messages, and they can no longer message you.
• Uploaded materials can also be flagged individually, and every upload is reviewed before it appears publicly.

Under-18 Learners

Studorship is used by learners of all ages. For accounts held by someone under 18, parental awareness and consent is captured as part of signup.

All conversations happen inside Studorship rather than moving to outside apps, which keeps a record our team can review if a report is made.

Community Standards

Everyone on Studorship — students and tutors alike — is expected to:

• Communicate respectfully and stay on-topic for learning
• Keep conversations inside Studorship, not move to outside messaging apps
• Share only material they have the right to share
• Report anything that feels off, rather than handling it alone

Accounts that violate these standards, once reported and reviewed, may be restricted or removed.

Privacy

Your phone number is only shared with a tutor or student once you're matched on a specific request — it isn't visible on public profiles. Verification documents are only visible to you and our admin team.
